I can see clearly now.

I hate getting old! Getting older means you have more responsibilities, more decisions that will affect the rest of your life, and last but not least your body starts giving out on you! Well this year is my 22nd year of living and my eyes have gradually been getting worse and worse. Mostly when I need to read street signs in the dark or read something that is farther than 10 feet in front of me. My roommate Tiana works at Paradise Canyon eye care and she convinced me to go in for a check up.

Prior to this appointment I haven't been to the eye doctor for a little over two years, and at that time there wasn't anything wrong with my eyes. So i figured since I've gotten older and became a courier my eyes have changed and are now strained with things I could easily see before. So yesterday I went to the doctor; in the pre-checkup...checkup Tiana tested my peripheral vision, my colors, whether I had a astigmatism or not and other things like that. They were really cool tests like one was a 3-D picture one, pretty neat! Anyways, then I went in with Dr. Fife and he did tests with machines and made me chose between two different views (like which is better one or two)

well I did this like fifty times. After all was said and done I have a little astigmatism in my right eye, which means instead of my eye being shaped like a basketball it's shaped like a football. My left eye is so bad, and i definitely need glasses. I was hoping I'd only have to wear them while driving and also at class but nope, he wants me to wear them ALL THE TIME! I'm so bummed, but if it's what I have to do in order to see better then I'll do it. I'm done with headaches, squinting, and not being able to read street signs and addresses. So Tiana and I picked out some glasses and they should be here anytime between now and the 15th, I am excited but they are definitely gonna take some getting used to.

8 months later..

It's official. I am the WORST blogger ever! It's on my list of things to do better so hopefully it won't be another 8 months till I write again!
Where do I even start? I am still in St George and loving every minute of it, the decision to move down here was the best thing I ever did! I now live with my sister and best friend (they are one in the same.) Most sisters would have a difficult time living together but not us. I'm not gonna lie, we have our little tiffs but make up shortly after..and if she's out of control I just call mom! Seriously I love living with her and am SO glad she chose to follow me to Dixie!

I am still a courier for IHC, I freaking love my job! I am still madly in love with One Tree Hill, and she's the man..some things never change! I have a new found obsession with the Sweet tooth fairy bakery..I just love the cupcakes there so we go at least once a week!

This semester I needed to take 12 elective credits to fill the requirements for my Associate of Science degree. I am finally learning the piano and absolutely love it, I am kicking spanish in the butt and cannot wait to be able to speak the language!I'm also taking a first aid class and it's a breeze, saving peoples lives I can do..but chemistry that is hard! Why do I even need chemistry..I'm not even going to be a chemist. Everyday in that class is another day of torture!
Something else new this semester, I recently became the newest DSC service rep (basically any service that happens on campus has to go through me). It's a more difficult Student government position and I have so much to do before this semester is done but I have a great group to work with, I love service, and I love Dixie!

That is pretty much what is happening in my life right now, I really do enjoy blogging and hope to write weekly...but we will see :)

Summer Vacation!

Why is life so busy?! It's supposed to be summer and I'm supposed to be care free...My summer has been nothing like that! Mostly because I took summer school, not a huge mistake but then again it kind of was; My professors took everything I'm supposed to learn in 15 weeks and made it fit into 8 weeks...it was a hard 8 weeks! I won't lie it's nice to know I got 9 credits done and under my belt. Plus my professors were so chill, I guess I really liked summer semester! First off, I cut my hair...7'' off to be precise..it was so sad but I really have loved it!!
This summer wasn't a total failure, I went to more wedding receptions between may and now than I ever have before! One of the weddings was for my long lost friend from high school. It was so great to help plan her wedding, the shower, and of course the bachelorette party! When her special day finally came it was amazing! I saw people I haven't seen since high school, it was just a little reunion and it was great!! Another reception I went to was for my very first roommate! If it wasn't for Aly I probably never would have moved to St George and my life would be completely different right now! I'm just so grateful for Aly and so happy for her and Race.
We also did a trip to Vegas because my best friend Hillary Bryan had never been to there.. I rounded up the group and we headed to Vegas to show Hillary the life she doesn't want! But to be honest, it was dirty and disgusting. I loved being with my friends but the whole time I was just sick to my stomach. Hopefully that cured her obsession with wanting to go so bad.

I now have less than a month before fall semester starts up again, we are hoping to go to Phoenix before then, and I'm hoping to hike a waterfall as well....but we will see!

I'm now a blogger!!

The newest crave now-a-days is blogging; I am sick of Facebook and need something new in my life! I am kind of getting the hang of things but then not really.. I figured out how to edit the layout and I'm fine with that for now. :)
