I can see clearly now.

I hate getting old! Getting older means you have more responsibilities, more decisions that will affect the rest of your life, and last but not least your body starts giving out on you! Well this year is my 22nd year of living and my eyes have gradually been getting worse and worse. Mostly when I need to read street signs in the dark or read something that is farther than 10 feet in front of me. My roommate Tiana works at Paradise Canyon eye care and she convinced me to go in for a check up.

Prior to this appointment I haven't been to the eye doctor for a little over two years, and at that time there wasn't anything wrong with my eyes. So i figured since I've gotten older and became a courier my eyes have changed and are now strained with things I could easily see before. So yesterday I went to the doctor; in the pre-checkup...checkup Tiana tested my peripheral vision, my colors, whether I had a astigmatism or not and other things like that. They were really cool tests like one was a 3-D picture one, pretty neat! Anyways, then I went in with Dr. Fife and he did tests with machines and made me chose between two different views (like which is better one or two)

well I did this like fifty times. After all was said and done I have a little astigmatism in my right eye, which means instead of my eye being shaped like a basketball it's shaped like a football. My left eye is so bad, and i definitely need glasses. I was hoping I'd only have to wear them while driving and also at class but nope, he wants me to wear them ALL THE TIME! I'm so bummed, but if it's what I have to do in order to see better then I'll do it. I'm done with headaches, squinting, and not being able to read street signs and addresses. So Tiana and I picked out some glasses and they should be here anytime between now and the 15th, I am excited but they are definitely gonna take some getting used to.
