Decisions

Well this week sure was a hot one!! I hate having a winter season because it takes me so long to adjust back into the heat of St George summers! Sometimes being outside is just miserable and all you want is to get inside an air conditioned building or car! I can't wait to go up north for the 4th of July and get out of this heat for a few days.

Since it has been so hot, for Monday's FHE we decided to play river volleyball! It was so much fun and we have some awesome volleyball players and the games were pretty intense at times. Tuesday I went to the Temple early then hung out with Aubrey after she got off work. Since she is moving soon she is sort of a mess so after she gets off work I help her as much as I can. We do paper work, applications, pack, clean, and whatever else she needs help with. So after all that we went hot tubing then went to bed. Wednesday I went to institute then we watched a movie or something. Thursday she had a really crappy terrible day so we decided to make sugar cookies, make my "satche jar", do some crayon art (which still isn't done), run random errands, and watch a ridiculous amount of One Tree Hill. It was so fun just to do whatever we wanted and not have to worry about anything. I really am gonna miss her and it's going to take a long time to adjust to life without my best friend around all the time. I am hoping that getting new roommates in the fall will help, and I have been persuaded maybe to sell Mary Kay (more on that to come) so between both situations I should be able to make more friends in no time!

Friday morning at work I had a coworker ask me what my weekend plans were-I always have some sort of plan-but for once I had no clue. I had one thing planned for 2 hours on Saturday that was it. Friday I got off then hung with Tiana until her and Brandon left for Vegas, I then came home and took a little nap. After my nap I mostly hung out with Nick all night. We went to chick fil a, then I cleaned my kitchen, then we watched this awesome show called The Following!! It is seriously so twisted but so good! Since the second that superman came out Nick has been hounding us to go with him so I finally gave in on Friday and went with him to see it. It might have been cause I was tired and it was a 10:10 showing but I wasn't very impressed with the movie. He liked it and that's all that mattered.

Saturday morning I got invited to a 'Diva Day', it sounded so fun and I really was so excited to go with Torri. We got there and immediately were taught about Mary Kay products. I fell in love with a couple of the things we used and I felt so pretty after, its a miracle what a little eye cream and eye liner can do for a girl. After we got our makeup done we headed over to the hair station. I love getting my hair done so this was awesome. After we were all done we then got a few glamour shots-that was really the point of the whole day was to get pictures for a photography business. One of my friends from student government Chandler was there and we got talking about Mary Kay and how she liked working for them, the more we talked and the more I learned about Mary Kay I just had to become a part of it. I have done some research and am feeling really strong about doing this! If any of you have ever done something like this feel free to give me your input! I have also been contemplating becoming a big sister with big brother big sister, I just have so much free time right now and just want to serve people too! I have some things to pray about and just need to move forward with things! After the diva day we watched another episode of the following, took a nap, cleaned some more, then hung out with Darren. We went for a walk, and then watched New Years Eve. My weekend was unplanned but it definitely worked out and I really have more friends and opportunities than I thought!

I hope to have an answer with these decisions this week...or next week...or whenever! Decision making is such a process and sometimes I really hate it. Wish me luck!

Fearless

FEARLESS' is not the absence of fear.
It's not being completely unafraid.
FEARLESS is having fears.
FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them.
FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death.
FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before.
FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want all over again... even though every time you've tried before, you've lost.
It's FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change.
FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them.
It's FEARLESS to say "you're NOT sorry," and walk away.
I think loving someone despite what people think is FEARLESS.”
Taylor Swift

This past week was a rough one for me. We all go through trials all the time but it doesn't make them any easier. It's funny how one day you can have the next stage of your life all planned out and you feel comfortable with it and then the next day it's all gone! I am so grateful for the Temple, I am grateful for the blessing it is to me to have one so very close that I can go any time I want! I spent a great deal of time at the Temple on Tuesday and somehow I feel good, I feel like Bob and I breaking up was a really good decision, I know that he wasn't the one for me. Somehow we were just not connecting like we should have, there were issues between us that we could not overcome and that is fine. I don't know why he was brought into my life for that short time but I am sure one day I will. I did learn a lot about myself and being in a relationship maybe that was why? Whatever the reason I had a good time with him while it lasted and am slowly moving on to the next stage of my life! I don't know what that stage is, I have signed a fall contract in St George, am taking online classes through Weber State and will still be applying to nursing school. Is it school, marriage, or mission that is in store for me? Only time will tell! Ironically this all happened at the beginning of the week, Tuesday to be exact. I cannot remember the last time I was as sad as I was that day, I really did have strong feelings for that man and will miss him. I just have to keep telling myself that it will all get better, I know it will!!

Anyways, the remainder of my week was very happy and adventurous! I really have thee best friends who care about me and are there for me always! Wednesday was Randi's 20th birthday! I adore that girl and was thrilled to know that she wanted to spend her birthday at my house with everyone! I made her cake and Aub decorated that house, in the end it made me very happy and kept my mind off things. Plus a happy life is one of service to others! So everyone came over around 8 for cake and ice cream then we went hot tubing! It was a great night I loved it!

Thursday we were not sure what to do, no one wanted to play volleyball and there just was not much going on so Aub and I just hung out: We ate dinner together, then went to Walmart and Target where I "bought way too many chick flicks"...says no one ever! Then we came home and cleaned, looked for jobs in Richfield for Aub then called it a night!

This weekend I was suppose to go home for Fathers day but it just wasn't happening so I ended up having Friday off work! It really was great just to sleep in and run errands. I went to the gym then hung out with Tiana, we made some journals for her wards girls camp while watching the chick flicks I bought.  We also went to lunch at Camille's sidewalk cafe-it was delicious and such a cute little place. After everyone got off work we went to dinner then went to see the internship! Funniest movie ever! I loved it and we all wanted to go see it again!

My favorite part was when they played Quidditch!! So funny!!

Saturday was as busy as ever! I woke up then went to the gym (two days in a row, I am so happy!) then woke up Aubrey to clean the church, then cleaned my house, then went to the pool with the Eves, then got ready for a very special event! That special event was the wedding of Shilo and Shauni! I have known Shilo for so long and am so very happy for him and Shauni! I love them both so much and their wedding was beautiful.  After the wedding we had dinner at red robin, went to target to buy the movie grownups, watched the movie grownups-laughed hysterically through the movie grownups, then did something so legit! We recently found out that they put a 7-11 in Hurricane!! That's right no more driving to Vegas for slurpees or having to get one every time I am up north. We piled in my car and drove down to Hurricane and got us some slurpees!! It was awesome! We then came back and watched a law and order before bed. It was a busy yet great Saturday and I loved it!

That is really about all, it was a great 3 day weekend and honestly I needed it! I am excited to see what this week brings!

Hustle and Bustle of Summer time!

I seriously cannot believe how fast summer is going! May is over and I hate it! Summer is the only season that I love it to go slow...despite it's quickness I have been very busy! One weekend we decided that we really needed a good Mesquite trip, so we gathered in two cars and headed out. We got there and decided to bowl then play bingo. We always compete couples VS couples and Bob and I always loose....bowling is just not our strong suit. No one in our group had any luck at bingo either but maybe next time. I loved this date with these fools and cannot wait till our next Mesquite adventure!

The last couple of months my department have done little get togethers outside of work! This month we did a pool party/BBQ at a coworkers house. It was so much fun!! I loved playing with kids and also just being with my coworkers! It was different then being at work, except the fact that even outside of work I get picked on...it's ridiculous! After the BBQ Bob and I went to the Merrill's house for date night. We made orange Julius and played the Mexican train game. It was Bob and I's first time and we loved it!! It is seriously such a fun game, and a night well spent with Holly and Dustin.

The best part of my days lately have been dinner time with Bob-we cook, dance, sing, and just have a good time. Last week we had corn on the cob, I LOVE corn on the cob!! If he would let me I would eat it every night!

Since about the middle of April I have been very bad about going to the gym, like I go once a week if that! Last week I finally went and it felt so good!! I really do love the gym and just need to be motivated and go more often. It has also been forever since I have had a legit girls night with my closest friends, so one Wednesday we decided to get treats and change that! We all met at my house then went to the DQ lounge where we might have stayed and chatted for over an hour...we are nerds. Then we came back to my house and sat around the fire for a while then called it a night! I seriously love these girls with every fiber of my being and know that we will be friends for many many years.

Randi, Me, Holly, Tiana, and Aubrey.
Ever since I met Bob all he wears is contacts, he never wears his glasses even if I beg him! Well he finally wore them for me! It was only for a couple hours but I still enjoyed it! He also let me shave his face...that might sound weird but I really had a good time! Plus I am a pro at shaving men!

I also had the opportunity to meet the Kane side of Bob's family! It was such a fun experience and I love his family especially his cute little 90 year old grandpa!! He was such a cutie and I seriously wanted to take him home with me. Our day started out at the Temple doing baptisms, it was such a neat experience to have Bob be our priesthood leader in doing our ordinances. We then went Beaver Dam and met the remainder of his family then we all went shooting. I have never seen a family reunion more legit- when he said we were going shooting I had no idea what I was getting myself into. They had guns, ammo, targets, and just a love for shooting new guns! I loved seeing him interact with his family. After shooting we went back to his grandpas and were on our own until 5:00 when dinner happened. After dinner we just talked then left because we were both so tired. Beaver Dam is not that far from St George but it was so hot!!! We wanted to die all day...but it was still great! Until next time Kane family!

St George does this wonderful thing in the summer time called Sunset on the Square, it's where they show movies on the big screen for free! It's so great and I love going every time they show one! You will also notice that I am not wearing my glasses!!! I recently got contacts and love them. There are times when I forget I am not wearing glass but still try to push them up or play with them when I am nervous-it is embarrassing!

For memorial day Bob and I hung out all day! It was so great to just be with him and have no other responsibilities. We woke up and went fishing at skyline pond but didn't catch anything, everyone around us did though! It was ridiculous! You will notice in the pictures below that my idea of fishing is standing in the shade and watching him do his thing.

He has some terrible hat hair plus the sun is blinding us!

He is thinking deep here...

Best view right here folks!
Ever since the Pirate Cove pizza place opened I have been dying to go there so I finally twisted Bob's arm hard enough and he took me. It was delicious and I would eat there every Friday if I could. After that we went on a little hike then came back and watched the Goonies! You see what we did there?? Pirate Pizza and Pirate movie...we are legit just admit it!

Also Last weekend I had the great opportunity to baby sit my coworkers children! They are adorable and I had such an awesome time!! I was nervous at the beginning and a little rusty but in the end I was fine. I miss babysitting and hope they let me do it again!

I recently received a new calling-I am the activities chair in my singles ward! It was a bit overwhelming at first but I have adjusted and can't wait to dive in more and get things rolling! We already had a meeting yesterday and planned July...let me just say we are awesome and I love my committee!

I guess that is about it for May there was just a lot of hanging out with this handsome man! I am seriously very lucky to have attracted such an awesome man and look forward to creating more great times with him!
